My name is Andrea — nice to meet you!
I come from a photography background and have always enjoyed seeing how happy these physical representations of memories make everyone. The chance to capture a moment in time is fleeting, especially in this digital age where we always have our phones out and are not really engaged with our surroundings. Despite those phones being out, we tend to miss a lot.
You can overcome this by asking your guests to put their phones away during your event so they can focus on having fun with you, and setting up photo ops around your event for those times when you DO want them to take pictures. This could be in the form of a photo booth, backdrops and decor meant to jazz things up but also give a setting for pictures, or with gorgeous balloon decorations. Each of these sets the stage for a photo op that will remind your guests of the fun and special time they shared with you!
Another way to memorialize your event is through an audio guestbook. Your guests pick up the phone and leave a message for you, and these recordings are then passed along to you. It’s something really special to hear their well wishes and advice, depending what type of event you’re having.
